About Poofka Snow & Junk Removal

Late February on the Quabbin is a study in gray and white, the great reservoir sealed under ice and the wind coming hard off it into New Salem. Bald eagles patrol the ice edge, and the wooded back roads fill with drifts that seem to have no end. Poofka Snow & Junk Removal does snow removal for this reservoir-side town, clearing away whatever the storms leave behind. The name has a little magic in it, and so does the result: one moment a drive is buried, the next the snow is simply gone. Winter lingers here well into March, so that disappearing act never gets old.
