Mount Everett Sanitation

About Mount Everett Sanitation

First light in Great Barrington comes over the eastern hills and lands across the valley on Mount Everett, and on a clear morning after a storm the whole ridge burns white. Mount Everett Sanitation is out well before that, plowing. The work is snow removal — driveways and lots pushed back to pavement, walkways cleared, grit spread where the freeze and thaw of a Berkshire week turns a slope glassy. Storms here can start as rain and finish as ice, which changes everything about how a driveway has to be handled. Done right, nobody thinks about it at all: they open the door, and the way out is simply there.
