Dial-A-Shovel

About Dial-A-Shovel

A storm ends and the whole south end steps outside at once to look at what it left. Dial-A-Shovel takes the calls that follow — driveways to plow, front walks and steps to shovel, salt for the stretch of sidewalk that always freezes first. Narrow lots and shared drives ask for a shovel and some patience more than horsepower, and that suits them fine. In the warm months the same hands mow, trim and edge, then clear the beds in spring and again when the leaves quit. Whatever the weather leaves behind, somebody has to move it, and they like being that somebody.
