Out past Sassaquin the far north end feels almost like country — pond ice in January, red maples going over in October. Daigle's Landscaping and Services follows that swing all the way around: mowing, trimming and edging through the growing months, cleanups when the leaves come down, plowing and shoveling once the storms arrive off the water. Winter here rarely announces itself politely; it turns to sleet, then back again, and a driveway needs opening twice in a night. Salt and sand go on the slick spots, and the walk gets cut wide enough for a mail carrier to swing through. Every season on this end of the city asks for something, and it is good work to give it.
