About RBV & Sons Inc.

An east wind comes up the Neponset from the harbor and finds Milton Landing first, which is usually how the town learns a storm has arrived. RBV & Sons Inc. works those hours — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling steps and walkways, laying salt and sand on the grades that turn slick ahead of everything else. Snow this close to the water runs wet and heavy, the kind that has to be pushed rather than lifted, and it wants clearing more than once a night. The measure of the job is a bare drive and a walk with grip on it before the first commuter is awake. Then the trucks go home and the town goes to work.
