Cedar Swamp Pond goes glassy in November, the red maples along its shallow edges gone over to rust, and Milford settles into its long brown season. Morcone Landscaping spends those weeks on leaves, clearing lawns, beds and corners so nothing mats down over winter and smothers the grass underneath. Earlier in the year the work is the weekly one — mowing, trimming, edging — with mulch laid into the beds once the ground has warmed. What carries across both halves is the same instinct: leave the place cleaner than the day found it. A lawn raked out properly in November is the lawn that greens up first in April.
