Ernie Jr's Landscape

About Ernie Jr's Landscape

On a June morning in Milford the dew holds until nine, and every lawn on a glacial slope shows the wet in bands when the sun finally clears the trees. Ernie Jr's Landscape starts early into that, mowing, string trimming and edging back yards that tilt just enough to make a straight line an achievement. Grass here runs hard through the long light and then eases off in the August heat, so the cut changes with it. Come autumn the work turns to leaves and cutbacks; come April it turns to raking out winter and spreading mulch. Ordinary properties, given attention, one after another until the light goes.
