About Ryco Excavating

Three in the morning, Route 44 empty, the storm still coming in and the blade throwing everything to the right. Ryco Excavating works Middleborough winters — plowing driveways and lots, cutting the banks back so the next storm has somewhere to go, and clearing the entries and walkways a truck can never reach. Long dirt drives and heavy machinery are familiar ground here, and so are the wet storms that ride up from Buzzards Bay and set like concrete by daylight. Salt and sand go down in the shaded stretches where ice keeps its own schedule all week. The point of the whole night is simple: the town wakes up, looks outside, and just goes to work.
