A nor'easter turns Broadway into a corridor of falling orange light, and the plows keep at it long after traffic near the Loop has given up and gone home. Massachusetts Snow Plowing is built for those nights — driveways, lots and walkways across Methuen opened on repeat while the storm is still adding inches. The routine is unglamorous and dependable: push, stack, come back, clear the apron the town plow filled in, salt the walk that would otherwise glaze over by sunrise. Almost none of it is witnessed, which is rather the point; what people see is a driveway they can leave from at six. Snow is the entire job here, so it gets the entire attention.
