April along the Methuen Rail Trail smells like wet stone and thawing ground, and every lawn on either side of that old rail bed wakes up hungry for attention at once. Geo landscaping meets the season there — winter sand raked out of the turf, beds cut back, the first mow of the year taken slow because the ground is still soft underfoot. From then on it is rhythm: grass kept at an even height, edges held true against walks and driveway aprons, mulch laid dark around the shrubs so the green reads brighter above it. Come November the same properties get walked again, leaf by leaf, until the lawn goes into the cold clean. Watching a whole street come back to color, one yard at a time, never gets old.
