Edgar and Sons Tree Service

About Edgar and Sons Tree Service

In June the Mystic runs slow past Medford Square and the whole city goes deep green — maples arching over the side streets, the hill up to Tufts holding its shade like a promise. Edgar and Sons Tree Service keeps that canopy workable: pruning the street-side limbs that have begun brushing third-floor windows, trimming crowns back from the wires, removal where a trunk has hollowed and there is a sidewalk directly underneath. Dense blocks mean rope, patience and small pieces, and the measure of a good day is that nothing below the tree was ever in doubt. After a summer squall comes up the river valley, the cleanup returns a lawn to lawn and a driveway to driveway. Somerville, Arlington and Everett sit within the same few miles.
