Crowley's Concepts

About Crowley's Concepts

August in Haines Square: three-deckers shoulder to shoulder, a porch fan going somewhere, and between the driveways a ribbon of lawn maybe fifteen feet wide. Crowley's Concepts treats that ribbon like it matters, because on a street like that it is the only green anyone gets. Mowing, trimming around the fence posts and the bulkhead, edging the walk, hauling off the clippings, and cleanups when spring arrives and when fall finishes. Nothing about a Medford lot is generous with space, so the work is all precision — the tight turn, the last pass along the chain link. Late sun comes down Salem Street and the grass takes it well.
