About Fox Services Inc

At three in the morning, when a storm has been dragging across the Assabet valley for six hours, Powder Mill Road belongs to the plows. Fox Services Inc runs those hours in Maynard — driveways opened wide enough to turn a car around, walks cut down to the concrete, the apron at the street pushed back before the town truck rebuilds it. Snow out by the wildlife refuge falls quiet and heavy; snow in the packed streets near the mill drifts and hardens against everything it touches. Both get cleared, and the payoff is a porch light coming on at six to find the way out already made. By the time the sky goes gray-blue the route is finished and the town simply goes to work.
