Grass Man

About Grass Man

Out at Rexhame the wind comes off the water all morning and lays the beach grass flat, and a lawn half a mile inland has to be cut with that in mind. Grass Man works those Marshfield yards where sand still finds its way into the soil — mowing on a steady rhythm, edging the walks clean, trimming close to fence posts and foundation shrubs. Spring cleanups pull winter's litter out of the beds, mulch goes down dark and even, and in autumn the leaves get gathered before they mat down over the turf. Thin ground gets seed and feed rather than a shrug. The result is a yard that reads as deliberate from the street, right down to the line where grass meets driveway.
