About Ideal Excavating LLC

Up toward Great Hill the drives climb and curve, long private stretches lined with stone wall and scrub oak where drifting snow piles deeper than it ever does down in the village. Ideal Excavating LLC takes on that kind of ground, pushing out driveways, private lanes and parking areas and hauling the banks back so there is somewhere to put the next storm. Wind off the bay reworks a cleared lane within the hour, which is why the trucks come around again. There is a plain pleasure in the last pass at dawn — the whole run open, the gravel showing, the hill gone quiet.
