About J.A.C Landscaping Inc.
Along the brick-and-clapboard blocks below Lynn Woods, where short driveways climb toward porches and granite shoulders up through the hillside, J.A.C Landscaping tends the small green things that give a house its footing. A mower runs through a yard fast and clean, leaving a straight edge behind it; shrubs are trimmed to sharp curves, beds are laid over with mulch, and dead wood comes down out of the branches before it can hang heavy over the walk. Spring opens with a clean-up and a first cut, fall closes with the leaves gathered off the grass, and when snow packs the drives down toward the harbor, the plow opens a way back to the street. It is work you can read in a single glance afterward — the fed lawn holding its color, the weeded bed, the drive cleared to the road.
