January noon on the west side of the city: Wood Street bright and hard, snow squeaking underfoot, that scoured blue sky you only get at fifteen degrees. West Meadow landscaping works those hours — driveways plowed wide, walks and steps shoveled, salt or sand laid along the stretches the sun never quite reaches. In summer the same addresses get mowed on schedule, edged along the pavement, hedges kept trim and beds mulched. Cleanups open the season in spring and close it out in fall. A property looked after in both directions never really has an off month.
