A humid Saturday morning in the Highlands and the whole neighborhood is out at once — mowers running up Stevens Street, hoses uncoiled, hedges getting their haircut. Junior's and Melo's Lawn Care is in the middle of that, cutting, edging, shaping shrubs and keeping the beds mulched and clear. Cleanups come twice a year: one to open the yard up when the ground dries, one to take the leaves down before the cold sets. Then the season flips and the same trucks plow driveways, shovel walks and stairs, and put salt where the shade holds ice. Same streets, same houses, a different tool in hand.
