About Zacarias Brothers Landscaping

Late October in Lawrence turns the light low and gold, and from the ledges of Den Rock Park you can watch it slide down over the rooftops toward the Ayer Mill clock tower. That is when Zacarias Brothers Landscaping does some of its best work. Leaves come off Tower Hill in waves; they stack against fences and pack into the corners of a yard near the Spicket, and someone has to move them before the first hard freeze locks them down. Blowing, raking, hauling, one last cut set low, beds tidied and the turf fed for the cold months ahead — with mowing and trimming carrying the summer. A lawn that goes into winter clean comes back in April ahead of the rest. The crew keeps to Lawrence and the towns just over its lines.
