General Lawn Care

About General Lawn Care

The Merrimack comes over the Great Stone Dam with a sound you can hear from the canals, and Lawrence grew up around that water. General Lawn Care works the yards in its shadow — mowing, trimming, edging along the sidewalks of tight city lots and out through the greener stretches toward Den Rock. City grass takes a beating, and coaxing it back to an even, cared-for green is the satisfying part of the job. On summer afternoons the brick holds heat until dark, and a freshly cut lawn is the coolest thing on the block. When October strips the trees around the common, the cleanups run right through them.
