About Lashco Tree Service LLC

Holyoke stacks itself uphill from the canals — three levels of water, then brick, then streets climbing toward the Highlands with the traprock wall of Mount Tom standing over all of it. In late September the hawks stream down that ridge by the hundreds, and below them Lashco Tree Service LLC is working the tight city lots: removal of a silver maple that has outgrown a driveway, pruning to lift a crown off the roof slates, trimming back the volunteer growth crowding a fence line. The Paper City's shade trees are big and close to everything, which makes rigging half the job and care the whole of it. After a storm blows up the river valley, cleanup here means clearing the sidewalk and the parked car both. When the chips are swept and the trunk is gone, the block looks the way the neighborhood wants it to look.
