First light on a December morning in Holliston, and the town green is a flat white sheet with one line of footprints crossing it. Village Green Landscaping is out ahead of that: plowing driveways, shoveling walks and steps, sanding and salting wherever the cold gets underfoot. When the ground shows itself again in spring the work turns over to cutting grass, trimming the edges, and clearing beds and leaves, week in and week out until the maples drop. Both halves add up to the same thing — a property somebody can actually use, whatever the day outside is doing. Holliston and the towns around it are home ground.
