There is one day every October when the wind comes over Turkey Hill and Whitney Woods lets go all at once. Pungitore Landscaping is out in the yards for the week that follows — leaves off the grass and out of the beds, the final mowing of the year, borders re-cut so the lines survive until spring. Fall is when a property gets set up to look good eleven months later, which is worth doing slowly. In April the same hands come back for cleanups, seeding, mulch and the first cut. Between those two ends, a Hingham lawn gets a full year of attention instead of a summer of it.
