By late October the meadows along the Weir River have gone gold and the wind has picked up an edge, and that turn of the calendar is where Limi Landscaping does some of its best work. Leaves come off in a rush on this side of town, so they come off lawns and out of beds in passes, the grass is cut down one last time, and the ground is set to sleep. Then the plow goes on. The same driveways, the same short list of houses, kept open and salted all winter, walkways shoveled before the ice can take hold.
