Where Haverhill's neighborhoods run out toward Lake Saltonstall, mowed ground gives way to meadow, and the two of them meet along a line somebody has to decide on. Wildflower Landscape Design keeps that line thoughtful — mowing, trimming and edging, and the seasonal lawn care that lets a yard feel shaped rather than merely shortened. A lawn always reads better with an edge to lean against: a clean border along a bed, a curve that follows the ground instead of arguing with it. In this corner of the city there is water, open light and a great deal of old field trying to come back, so the work asks for restraint as much as effort. The result is a yard that looks composed in June and still looks composed in September.
