Haverhill's older streets are roofed in maples — the sort planted a century ago that now arch clear across the pavement and let go of everything they have in about three weeks each October. Tims tree & landscaping works underneath them, mowing, trimming and edging through the growing season, running cleanups once the leaves come down, then plowing and shoveling when those same branches are carrying snow instead. Autumn is the hinge of the year here, the week the rake goes into the truck and the plow comes off the wall. There is a real pleasure in handing a yard over to winter clean, and in giving it back in April looking ready. The trees stay put; the work goes around them.
