About Dirtworks, Inc.

Route 137 at midnight in a storm is a tunnel of falling white, and somewhere along it a plow is making the first pass. Dirtworks, Inc. handles snow in Harwich — driveways opened, walks cut through to the steps, sand and salt where the grade wants to send a car sideways. East Harwich has long drives and short patience for being stuck, so the trucks run through the night and come back when the drifts rebuild themselves. There is a specific pleasure in the second pass, when the edges square up and pavement finally shows. Morning arrives and nobody has to think about it.
