Doncev Tree Service

About Doncev Tree Service

Late October light comes off the sandstone ledges of Poet's Seat and lays itself over Greenfield in long copper bands. Down in the streets below, oaks and silver maples lean over rooflines built back when that ridge was still pasture, and Doncev Tree Service is the crew that goes up to meet them — tree removal on the tight east-side lots, trimming and pruning that give a yard back its share of sky. Storms come down the Franklin County valley fast, and afterward the work changes shape: limbs off the driveway, the yard opened up again, brush hauled and the ground cleared before the light goes. There is a particular satisfaction in a crown thinned right, when the tree looks like itself again, only lighter. Greenfield's canopy gets looked after by people who know which way the wind arrives over the hill.
