Brush Hill Tree Service

About Brush Hill Tree Service

Great Barrington lies in the Housatonic's own valley, with Monument Mountain standing over the north end of town and the Green River coming down cold and clear to join the main water. Brush Hill Tree Service works the hill lots and the river-flat neighborhoods below them — thinning a hemlock stand, lifting a leaning ash off a barn roof, pruning the sugar maples that make October along these back roads worth the drive. A removal on a Berkshire slope calls for rope work and a plan for every single piece, and there is quiet pride in a tree coming out with the stone wall beneath it untouched. Winter here arrives with weight: snow that loads a spruce until it splits, and calls that come at odd hours. They cut the trunk off the wall, haul the wood, rake the yard, and leave the place looking as if the storm had gone somewhere else.
