About Annisquam Landcare, Inc.

Twice a day the tide swings under the Annisquam footbridge, and Lobster Cove trades a mirror for a mudflat while the yards above it go right on growing. Annisquam Landcare, Inc. keeps that hillside village trimmed through the warm months — mowing on a rhythm, edges cut clean along seawalls and stone steps, beds mulched, and the cleanups that bracket spring and fall. Come winter the wind crosses Ipswich Bay past the light on Wigwam Point and stacks drift against every north-facing door, so the plow runs the narrow lanes and shovels finish what a truck can't reach. Ice gets sand and salt wherever the grade tips toward the water. It is a small pleasure, opening a lane in Annisquam wide enough for two cars to pass.
