About Don Vigeant & Son Inc

Snow reaches East Freetown late and wet, blown in off the water and heavy on the shovel. Don Vigeant & Son Inc runs the back roads for it — the long gravel drives out past Long Pond, the farmyards, the turnarounds a car cannot manage on its own. Plowing here means knowing where the culverts sit, where the drive drops away, where a wing can safely stack. Walks get cleared and sanded, aprons get cut back square, and the piles go where they won't melt into tomorrow's trouble. There's a plain satisfaction in it: somebody's morning simply works, and nobody has to wonder why.
