Franklin's ground is glacial leftovers — sand and gravel under a thin skin of topsoil — which is why a lawn on one street can go gold in a dry August while the one behind it stays green. Lawn Phix works with that soil instead of arguing with it. Mowing at a height that lets the grass shade its own roots, edging and trimming so the borders stay honest, cleanups in spring and again when the leaves finally quit. Grass that is cut properly comes back faster than grass that is merely cut. By September the color returns and the yard looks like it never struggled at all.
