The little Red Brick School still stands on Lincoln Street, and Franklin still runs on the school year — buses at seven, fields full by four, everything hinging on whether the pavement is clear. Customer First Landscaping works to that rhythm. September through November is mowing and cleanups, leaves off the lawn and the beds put to bed; December through March is plowing, drives and walkways opened and treated while it is still dark. April brings the first cut and the whole cycle starts over. Being there on time is most of the craft, and a driveway finished before the bus comes is worth more than any amount of explaining.
