West of the city the Sudbury River spreads out into meadow, and old stone walls still run through the trees where the fields used to be. M&V Landscaping & Masonry keeps the properties out that way through both ends of the year. Winter means plowing — drives opened early, banks pushed back, walkways cleared so the front steps are usable again. Summer means mowing and trimming, lines carried even over the roll of the land, edges cut where the turf meets the wall stone. Cleanups in April and again in late fall close the loop, and the yard comes out of each season looking like somebody was paying attention.
