About SM Property Services

A winter storm reaches West Falmouth from the water first — Buzzards Bay goes slate, the wind stacks up against Chapoquoit, and by midnight the salt in the air has turned to something finer. SM Property Services is out in it, a property-services outfit that plows and clears while the town is still dark and blue. Snow banks against stone walls and shingled ells; the truck takes one drive and then the next, cutting a path back to the road. By the time the harbor edges pink there are lanes where there were drifts, walkways scraped down to bare pavement, cars that can actually leave. That is the whole reward — someone steps outside at seven and the day simply works.
