JB Tree and Landscape

About JB Tree and Landscape

Four in the morning in Woods Hole: the harbor black, Eel Pond half-frozen, a line of cars already forming for a boat that may or may not run. JB Tree and Landscape is out ahead of all of it, plowing the drives up the hill and clearing the walkways down toward the water while the snow is still loose. Village lots here are small and hemmed with stone, so snow has to be placed rather than simply pushed. Sand and salt go on the pitches that drop toward the harbor, where a glaze at daybreak is a genuine problem. By the time the streetlights blink off, the way out is open.
