About Flamingo Landscaping

A flamingo is an unlikely bird to meet in a Fall River nor'easter, which may be exactly why the name sticks. Flamingo Landscaping clears snow in a city shaped by water — the long Watuppa Ponds icing over to the east, the Quequechan running hidden beneath downtown toward the bay. Winter here often blows in wet and heavy off the ocean, packing into driveways and hardening along curbs where the street plow leaves its ridge. The job is pushing that weight back, opening walks and entry steps, and giving each property its shape again under the drifts. By morning, a cleared Fall River driveway reads like a bright stroke of color on a gray page.
