About Alvarez Landscaping Inc

On Ferry Street the triple-deckers stand shoulder to shoulder, and in February the drives between them are barely wider than a shovel's swing. Alvarez Landscaping Inc is out in that dark, plowing and shoveling before the first commuter tries the hill, cutting the walks down to pavement and laying salt where the shade keeps ice alive all day. By May the same narrow spaces are green again and the work turns to mowing, edging along the sidewalk seams, and hauling off the clippings and the cleanup piles. Everett gives a landscaper no room to be sloppy — every line shows from the porch above it. That's the pleasure of it: small ground, done sharp.
