Vieira Landscape & Construction takes to the routes when a nor'easter banks drifts against the rough granite along Main Street, cutting driveways open to the pavement and walkways down to bare stone. Sand and salt go on the pitches where ice likes to sit, the ones that catch no sun all day. By the hour the old railroad station's roofline shows grey against the sky, the drives on Lincoln Street and Elm are clear and waiting. It is unglamorous work, and it makes the whole day possible for everyone else.
