About HJE Services

Seven in the morning in Dudley, and the mist is still lifting off the French River while the trucks load up for the day. HJE Services works this south corner of Worcester County the way you'd tend your own land — grading a slope until the water finally runs where it should, laying in drainage, setting mulch and stone in clean beds, cutting brush back from the treeline, putting in plantings, ringing a fire pit for the evenings that follow. There is demolition in the mix too: an interior stripped out, an old deck or shed pulled down and carried off, the ground left open and ready for whatever comes next. Winter turns the same crews to plowing and snow blowing, drives opened before the old mill streets have properly woken. It is work you can stand back and look at — a yard that keeps its shape, a slope that sheds its rain, a driveway that meets the morning clear.
