PROTURF - Professional Turf Care

About PROTURF - Professional Turf Care

Autumn in Dighton narrows down to a single week — the last cut of the year along the Taunton River, and then the first forecast that turns all the talk to plow routes. PROTURF - Professional Turf Care works both sides of that turn, mowing and tending lawns through the long green months on the town's farm roads and river-bend streets, then clearing snow when the storms push up off the water. There is a plain satisfaction in it: the straight stripe laid down a sloping side yard, the crisp edge left where grass meets pavement, the driveway opened wide before the sky over Segreganset has finished going gray. Around Dighton and the nearby Bristol County towns, that is the whole of the work — a yard that keeps its shape all summer, and a way out to the road in February.
