About Four Son's Land Services LLC

Half past six on a North Dighton morning, the light coming up thin over the Taunton River and catching the dust where a stump used to be. Four Son's Land Services grinds stumps eight to fourteen inches below grade until the roots are gone, then puts a skid steer to the ground behind it — brush cutting, forestry mulching, harley and landscape raking, laser grading, trenching, site work, new lawn installations, and driveways laid in gravel, stone, or asphalt milling. There is a plain satisfaction in the after: a field opened back up to the sky, failed asphalt cut out of a driveway or a parking lot and new hot top set down smooth in its place. When winter turns the work over, the plow trucks and skid steers push the storm off Bristol County pavement and haul it away while the road is still dark. In a town of old farm lanes and oak edges leaning toward the water, the ground keeps a record of what was done well to it.
