About Elie's Landscaping

Late in October, when the last mowing on a Dennis lawn gives way to the first hard wind off Cape Cod Bay, Elie's Landscaping simply changes tools. Summer here is mowing and trimming along the hedged lanes above 6A, edges cut clean against a shell drive, mulch laid dark beneath the hydrangeas, clippings hauled off while the light goes gold over Scargo Hill. Winter starts earlier than anyone else's morning — a plow out ahead of the sun, a driveway opened down to bare pavement, a walkway shoveled wide while the marsh grass along Bass River stands stiff with frost. Between those two, spring and fall bring the cleanups: pitch-pine needles and oak leaves raked out of the beds, the yard handed back with its lines showing again. It is plain work, and it leaves a plain, lasting mark — a Cape yard that looks tended in every month it is asked to hold.
