D&M Landscaping runs the season from there — mowing on a set rotation, trimming around posts, hydrants and stone, edging the walks so the turf stops in a straight line. The spring round clears winter grit out of the beds before mulch goes down; through July and August steady cuts keep the color even when the rain quits on everybody. Danvers yards sit on old farm ground and tidal soil both, so some hold moisture and some burn off fast, and the mowing height gets set accordingly. In late fall the leaves come off in passes until the grass is showing again.
