DeStefano Landscape & Snow

About DeStefano Landscape & Snow

Late in the year the light goes thin over the Danvers River marshes, the mowing tapers off, and the work turns over with the weather — one week a lawn cut clean to its border, the next a driveway opened before the neighborhood has stirred. DeStefano Landscape & Snow keeps lawns across Danvers and the towns around it through the green months, then plows and clears them when storms push in off the water. There is a plain satisfaction in both halves of it: the crisp stripe laid down beside an old mill-town street, the walkway showing bare pavement while the sky is still letting go. Under the oaks and along the tidal edge, it is steady, physical work, and it shows — a yard that holds its season, whichever season it happens to be.
