About A1 INCORPORATED

Route 8 leaves North Adams and starts to climb, and by the time it reaches Clarksburg the land has stood up on both sides — the Dome off to the north on the Vermont line, the woods holding their snow long past when the valley has let go of its own. A1 INCORPORATED plows that country: driveways and lots opened, entries and stairs shoveled, sand and salt on grades where a car would otherwise slide right back down. Storms arrive up here with more in them than the forecast promised and leave a good while later than anyone hoped. So the work goes in passes — early, again mid-storm, and once more at the end so the edges come out clean. Snow removal for Clarksburg and the towns along the northern line.
