Morning on the up-island roads comes in low and salted, laying long light along Chilmark's stone walls and the pasture that runs down toward the water. Garden Angels works that ground as a garden and lawn care outfit — native plantings, perennial beds, containers, floral design, and the steady upkeep that keeps a yard legible from spring through the last warm week of fall. Their design is done in collaboration with biodiversity, which is a quiet way of saying the beds are built to belong: a planting that reads as though it seeded itself, a lawn edged clean where the mown grass meets the moor, a dooryard that holds its shape when the wind comes over the ridge off Menemsha. What they leave behind is the whole reward — a place looking more like itself than it did at first light. The work reaches across Martha's Vineyard, from Chilmark and Menemsha to Aquinnah, West Tisbury, and the down-island towns.
