About Matgo Services Company LLC

Where the Chicopee River spills over its falls and slides west to meet the Connecticut, the old mill town lays its brick blocks and river-flat yards across the floor of the Pioneer Valley. Matgo Services Company works that broad, generous valley ground through its turning year, mowing the summer grass to an even green across Chicopee's neighborhood lots and keeping the season's growth trimmed and tidy while the long valley light stretches over the water. When cold slides down off Mount Tom and snow banks up against the mill-town streets, the crew is out clearing drives and walks before the first commuters stir, cutting a clean path back to bare pavement. It is plain, satisfying work, a lawn held even in June and a driveway opened wide and quiet in February, the kind of care that lets a place carry its season well.
