The Bruce Freeman trail runs the length of Chelmsford past Freeman Lake and Heart Pond, and you can mark the year by it — cyclists in April, leaves down across it by November, boot prints in the snow after that. V & A Lawn Care follows the same calendar: mowing and trimming through the green months, plowing and opening driveways once the blade goes back on. The shoulder seasons carry the cleanups, the spring one that airs a yard out and the fall one that puts it to bed. Winter work starts early and unglamorous, drives and walks cut open before the commute builds on Route 4. A clean lawn in July and a clear driveway in January are the same job, really — somebody showed up.
