Fisher Hill does nothing gently — the streets bend and climb, and the driveways meet them sideways. Fitzgerald Landscape and Hardscape, LLC plows and clears those grades in the dark hours after a storm, so the first car of the morning can back out without a second thought, then salts and sands the walks behind it. When the ice lets go in March the same routes turn green again and the work becomes mowing, trimming and the long unburying of a yard. There is real satisfaction in both halves: pavement showing before dawn in February, and even lines across a lawn by June. Brookline gets steep and narrow up here, and knowing the turns is half the job.
